Dockett and Associates Promotes the 1st National Drug Free Work Week
This Professional Counseling and Coaching Service Organization encourages Companies to Develop and Promote Drug Free Workplace Policies.
New Iberia, LA, September 19, 2006: The 1st annual Drug Free Work Week sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor is October 16 – 22, 2006. This is a prime opportunity for companies to review their drug free workplace policies. For those organizations that do not have a drug free policy, this is the perfect time to implement one. Dockett and Associates is ready to assist with consulting, planning, and reviewing related activities.
All Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated companies are required to have a drug free workplace policy. DOT regulated industries include trucking (FMCSA), Aviation (FAA), Oil field/pipeline (RSPA), Railroad (FRA), Shipping and maritime (USCG), and Public Transit (FTA). The U.S. Department of Labor encourages all industries to participate, whether during the official week, or at any time through the year. The purpose of Drug-Free Work Week is to educate employers, employees and the general public about the importance of being drug-free as a component of improving workplace, productivity, safety and health. Individuals with alcohol and drug problems are encouraged to seek help and employers and employees across all industries are encouraged to take part.
